Alliance Magnesium accelerates the deployment of its tailings recovery activities
Brossard December 16, 2016 – As the Federal Government decides not to include the remediation of tailings in its policy on the banning of asbestos, Alliance Magnesium is accelerating the deployment of its industrial activities.
This government decision comes in addition to the support already shown by the Federal Government in the Alliance project, which resulted in a $ 3 million nonrefundable grant from its Sustainable Development Technologies Canada, recognizing the technological advances of its process on the environmental front.
“If the last four years have been those of design and implementation, 2017 will be one of great achievements. “Said Dr. Joël Fournier, Chief Executive Officer of Alliance.
With the pilot unit that begins operations in early 2017, and the launch of a first commercial phase during that same year, Alliance Magnesium relies on all of its financial and strategic partners, as well as the population and its elected representatives in order to fulfill its mandate to become the international leader in the production of the greenest magnesium on the planet.
Alliance wishes to highlight the work and effort of the elected representatives of the Danville / Asbestos region in their quest to safeguard the economic and social potential of tailings recovery and offers them its full collaboration.
