Dr. Joël Fournier successfully brought together a team of executives to focus on the recently-formed Alliance Magnesium Inc., including engineers, financiers, communicators and lobbyists. These people are dedicated professionals, seasoned board members and external engineering consultants with specific expertise needed for the project. All are keen to undertake Alliance’s promisses in this very important project.
Joël Fournier, Ph.D., MBA - President and Chief scientic officer
Dr. Fournier, founder of Alliance Magnesium, is a world renowned expert in industrial technologies development in hydrometallurgy and electrochemistry and is responsible for the development of the propriety process. He has over than 20 years of experience in the technology sector. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry with a specialization in electrochemistry from Sherbrooke University and a Post-doctorate from INRS Energy and Materials Institute.

Michel G. Gagnon - Chairman of the Board & CEO
Michel G. Gagnon is a renowned businessman who has held the position of Vice President of Finance and Business Development at Aluminerie Alouette, one of the largest aluminum smelters in the world. He is a specialist of corporate governance and sits on the board of several private and public companies.
Dr. Martin P. Pelletier, Eng., Ph.D. - Non Executive Director
Dr. Pelletier is a chemical engineer and consultant in the pulp and Paper Industry. He was President and CEO of Rolland inc. (now Cascades Fines Papers Group.). He is the Chairman of the environment, Health & safety Committee at Cascades and sits on the Board of Co2 Solutions.
Normand Bergeron - Non Executive Director
Normand Bergeron has over 35 years of experience in the public domain and management of major projects, notably as Deputy Minister in the Quebec Ministry of Natural resources and Wildlife, President of the Agence des Partenariats public-privé, President of Infrastructure Quebec and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Aluminum Cluster.
Claude Delage, LLB - Non Executive Director
Claude Delage, co-founder of Alternative Capital Group, is active in investment banking since 1988. He has practiced the role of investment banker for many clients and has successfully completed several mandates in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions of companies, as well as strategic consulting engagements.
Nicolas Beauchamp - Non Executive Director
Nicolas Beauchamp, co-founder of Alternative Capital Group, is active in investment banking since 2005. He has intensive experience in risk assessment, management and restructuring. Beyond his expertise in interim financing, Mr. Beauchamp is involved in the mandates of purchase and sale of business and activities specific to the exempt market.

Pierre Saint-Aubin, BAA - Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs
Pierre Saint-Aubin, co-founder of Alliance Magnesium, worked for 35 years in the field of corporate finance and financial communications. Over this period, he managed the financial engineering of public and private companies in Quebec and abroad, as well as the listing of several companies on Canadian and American Stock Exchanges. He has an extensive network of contacts among many dynamic players in the financial industry.
Guy Adam, Eng. - Vice-President, Sustainable Development
Guy Adam has more than 35 years of management and technical experience in the environmental business. He started his career as chemical engineer part of the ICI Group. He has been the Executive Vice-President of Newalta Corporation, a $650M revenue leading provider of innovative, engineered environmental solutions for disposal, recycling and recovering valuable resources from waste streams.
Rémi Belliveau - Plant director
Remi joined the Alliance Magnesium team in May 2018. Previously, he was a manager in major companies and worked in the zinc, copper, aluminum and magnesium sectors, among others, at Total Metal Recovery and Metallurgy Magnola.
Karine Vallières - Director, Communication and publics affairs
Karine Vallières joined the team in early 2019. Renowned manager and rich of expertise in the field of communications of the public and private sectors, the financial administration as well as the political world, Karine has served as a Member of National Assembly in Quebec for two terms. The functions she has fulfilled have given her a great professional versatility. A knowledgeable communicator and seasoned strategist, she is transparent in dealing with the files entrusted to her.
